Through our Primary, Secondary, GCSE and Functional Skills pathways, we combine high expectations with strong relationships, personalised teaching and clear routes towards recognised qualifications.
Our aim is not simply to help learners access education again, but to help them build confidence, experience success and move forward with a pathway that works for them.

Our Learning Pathways
PRIMARY PATHWAY
A calm introduction or return to learning, developing core English and Maths alongside confidence, independence and positive relationships.
SECONDARY PATHWAY
Small-group education focused on core skills, engagement, confidence and progression.
GCSE PATHWAY
Focused English, Maths and Science teaching for learners preparing for GCSE qualifications.
FUNCTIONAL SKILLS PATHWAY
English and Maths from Entry Level through Levels 1 and 2, with the opportunity to progress towards nationally recognised qualifications at our approved examination centre.
Who We Support
PL6 supports children and young people whose educational journey may not have followed a traditional route. Whether a learner needs an alternative pathway, additional academic support or a route towards recognised qualifications, we start by understanding the individual — not trying to fit them into a predetermined programme.

PL6 Learning Hub is an approved Open Awards Functional Skills examination centre delivering English and Maths qualifications from Entry Level 1 through to Level 2. Learners can prepare for and sit their examinations within our small, calm Plymouth learning environment. At PL6, we do more than teach qualifications.

We want to understand the young person, their needs and what they hope to achieve — and make sure PL6 is the right environment for them. Below is an outline of our four-stage process:
