FUNCTIONAL SKILLS ENGLISH & MATHS APPROVED EXAM CENTRE

PL6 Learning Hub is an Open Awards Approved Functional Skills Centre, offering accredited qualifications in English and Maths from Entry Level 1, Entry Level 2 and Entry Level 3 through to Level 1 and Level 2.

Our Functional Skills pathway is designed for learners who need a practical, achievable and recognised route towards qualifications, particularly those who may not currently thrive within a traditional GCSE pathway.

Being able to learn and sit examinations in a familiar setting can be particularly valuable for young people who experience anxiety, EBSA, SEND or other barriers to accessing larger educational environments.

Functional Skills qualifications are recognised by employers, colleges and training providers and can provide an important pathway towards further education, apprenticeships, training and employment.

For some learners, Functional Skills provides an alternative to GCSEs. For others, it provides a stepping stone towards further qualifications.

Whether your child has been out of school, requires a more personalised approach, or simply needs a different route to success, PL6 Learning Hub offers a clear, supportive and confidence-building pathway towards recognised qualifications and future opportunities.
